This is a hybrid course with all "book work" being completed online. The online portion of the course will be completed on your own, whenever it is convenient for you, however,
the majority of coursework must be completed prior to the first skill session on December 9th.
***Note: To give students the most time to complete the onine portion of the course, we will send access codes as soon as full tuition is made. If you would like early access, select "pay full tuition" rather than paying the deposit.
State Certification Exams: Beginning January 1, 2014 all students must complete the NREMT cognitive exam to obtain NREMT and PA certification. The cost of the exam is $70. All certification exams are administered by the PA DOH Bureau of EMS and are beyond the control of ETA.
CPR certification is a prerequisite. You must be certified in AHA BLS Provider or ASHI Healthcare Pro or ARC CPR Professional Rescuer within 6 months to the start of course. Students must have taken a course covering the 2015 CPR standards. ETA offers CPR courses seperately. Check our schedule for upcoming dates and times. You must present a copy of your CPR certification at class on on December 9th.
Cost: $650 (Includes all course material, ebook, eworkbook and online material). Printed textbook if desired is an additional $100. Please note that access to the eBook requires internet connection.
Note: This course is a DOH course which qualifies you to obtain NREMT national certification and PA certification as an EMR by successfully completing the PA state EMR practical skills examination and NREMT EMR cognitive exam. Certification exams are administered through the Regional EMS Councils throughout the Commonwealth. The cognitive exam is administered at Pearson Vue testing sites throughout the country. A positive criminal history will not prevent you from taking the course, but may prevent you from obtaining certification.
